Compact Cars
Both the Honda Civic Hybrid and
first generation Toyota Prius fall under the compact
car category. The Honda Civic Hybrid is noted for bringing hybrid-electric
technology to a mainstream, top-selling vehicle, and was the first
hybrid vehicle to achieve Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emission
Vehicle status under California's Zero Emission Vehicle program.
The Civic is a mild hybrid while the Prius is a full hybrid, the
difference being that Civic Hybrid is not capable of driving solely
on its electric motor.
